A four-year-old Texas boy died after his mother left him inside a sweltering SUV. The Aubrey Police Department responded to an emergency call reporting an unresponsive child shortly after 5 p.m. on June 20.
Paramedics found the child unresponsive after which he was airlifted to a Dallas-area hospital. The boy died in the hospital two days later due to "heat-related injuries."

The Aubrey Police Department released a statement on their Facebook page that said,
Once on scene, officers determined that a four-year-old child had been found by family members inside a vehicle in the driveway of the residence.
The statement further read:
Paramedics and firefighters with the Aubrey Fire Department responded to the scene and immediately began treating the child.
The boy's mother, Lisa Neyland, was arrested shortly after noon on Tuesday and was charged with a second-degree felony. She has been held in custody at $75k bond. It is not known if she got an attorney or entered a plea deal.
