Pianist refers to the person who plays the piano. Pianists have the wide variety of repertoire and styles to choose. A pianist can choose to play classical music, jazz, blues and all sorts or popular music. Pianist has to have very active fingers to move from one edge key to another and from one edge to another. A pianist also can play synthesizer, harpsichord, celesta, organ, etc to certain extent. A pianist is an important person in the music industry to generate the melodious music making harmony in the beat of different instruments. Also, The Pianist is a very successful and famous historical drama released in 2002 directed by Roman Polanski. It is based on the autobiographical book The Pianist which is written by Polish-Jewish pianist and composer Wladyslaw Szpilman on the memory of World War II.
