The South Korean boy band lead singer Shinee has died on Monday, December 18, at 27. Police have predicted it as a suicide.
The Seoul Police said Jong-hyun was found unconscious at a residence hotel in Seol and was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Police said the singer, 27's sister told, Jonghyun sent her a text message reading, 'Final farewell' and 'I've had difficulties' before he took his life.
The Yonhap news agency reported authorities found burned coal briquettes, which produce carbon monoxide, in a frying pan in Kim's hotel room.
Kim joined the SHINee as a lead singer in 2008 and began a career as both a group member and a solo singer-songwriter. He had a successful career as a solo singer-songwriter. He released three records: an album She Is in 2016- topped the Korean charts, and two compilations in 2015 and 2017.
He collaborated with several renowned Korean artists throughout his career. Moreover, he also hosted his own radio show on the Korean station MBC.
Jonghyun's last public appearance was his solo concert Inspired on December 9 and 10 in Seoul and was scheduled to hold concerts with his SHINee band members in Tokyo and Osaka in February.
