Sharon Leal started her acting career with the role of Dahlia Crede in the CBS daytime television program, Guiding Light.
She later joined the Broadway company of Rent. Soon and played the role of Mimi for the first national tour of Rent in San Francisco.
In 1999, she appeared on the Off-Broadway musical Bright Lights, Big City along with Jesse L. Martin and Patrick Wilson. Later in 2001, she was cast in the recording of Making Tracks.
