Sarah Clarke was born to Douglas and Angela Clarke on 27th August 1976, in Ontario, Sarah was raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her mother is German and she used to attend a German School in Ottawa twice a week and is thus fluent both in English and German languages.
Her education was done at the Handsworth Secondary School situated in Vancouver from which she graduated in 1994. Her acting career began at a small age when she was eight years. She began appearing in musical productions and became the reporter on the children's show KidZone at the age of 12.

After the end of Roseanne, Sarah starred in Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy, a CBC television drama, and then was cast as Dr. Elliot Reid on 2001 on the NBC comedy Scrubs. This proved to be her major role which raised her to the heights of fame.
Clarke appeared also in feature films like Cake, and Ernest Goes to School, and also appeared in The Lonely Island a TV show. She also appeared in Chaos Theory on 2007 and also made appearances in the hit CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother o 2008 and 2009.
