Devon Sawa

Synopsis

Devon Edward Sawa is a very handsome actor and reputed personality. He is widely known for his acting in several films like Little Giants, Casper, Now and Then, SLC Punk! and Wild America. He currently appears in the TV series Somewhere Between. 

Early Life 

Sawa was born on September 7, 1978, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He holds an American nationality belonging to the white ethnicity. He is the son of Joyce Sawa (his mother) and Edward Sawa (his father).

His mother, Joyce was a production coordinator. He has two older siblings, a brother named Brandon Sawa and a sister named Stephanie Sawa.

Sawa was interested in acting since his early school days. He started acting when he starred in a school play in kindergarten.

Career

Sawa began his career as a children's action toy spokesperson in 1992. He appeared in the movies such as Little Giants and Casper during his early career. He played a role as Scott Wormer the town bully and shared a second on-screen kiss with his co-star Christina Ricci in "Now and Then."

Sawa has also starred in several films like Wild America, Idle Hands, SLC Punk! and Final Destination. He played the leading role in the music video of Eminem, Stan in 2000. He gained huge popularity after appearing in that video.

Later, Sawa worked as a voice actor, voicing Flash Thompson in the movie, Spiderman: The New Animated Series. He has appeared in several independent films including Extreme Dating, Shooting Gallery, Devil's Den and A Resurrection.

Sawa portrayed a role of Owen Elliott on the CW drama series called Nikita in early 2010. He was promoted to series in season 3 of Nikita.

Personal Life and Affairs

Sawa, age 38, is married and has two children. He currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia with his wife and children. He is a good friend of a well-known actor and producer, Stuart Stone.

Sewa is married to his girlfriend, Dawni Sahanovitch in November 2010. The couple was married after an affair for several of years. The couple is blessed with two children altogether.

They welcomed their first child, a son named Hudson Sawa, on January 9, 2014. The couple has a daughter named Scarlet Haleena Sawa who was born on March 21, 2016.

Sawa has been nominated for various award events. He was nominated for the Best Performance in a TV Movie/Mini-Series-Young Actor in 1997 for his performances in Night of the Twisters.

He was also nominated in other categories like Favorite Actor-Horror in 2001 for his works in Final Destination. Sawa was nominated for Best Performance by a Younger Actor in 2000 for his works in Idle Hands. He has won an award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor in 2001 for acting in Final Destination.
