Sam Matterface began his media career with local hospital radio station as a volunteer in 1992. After working as the Head of News at 107.4 Quay in Portsmouth in 2001, he moved to Sky sports and began working as Television anchor.
In 2010, national radio station TalkSPORT was hired Sam Matterface as the Chief Football Commentator and covering Premier League, European and International football across over 15 countries alongside Georgie Bingham and Charlotte Jackson.
Later a year, Sam Matterface hired as a freelance commentator in 2011.

Sam Matterface is a married person who was married to his girlfriend Natalie Sawyer, an English television presenter Sports. There was a rumor that the couple was dating since a long time.
The couple first met in Sky Sports while they working as presenters together and became close to each other. They were engaged in 2009.
After that, Sam and his wife Natalie were about to get some far more shocking news: her husband Sam was suffering from testicular cancer. Consequently, his critical problem was that he might never be able to have a child with his spouse Natalie.
But after successful treatment, this story closed happily. Eventually, the couple became the proud parents of a baby boy named Sawyer Matterface who was born on October 28, 2010. Unfortunately, the couple finally divorced in June 2014.
