It was the second marriage for both of them Tony was married to Rebecca Jenkins back in 1984 and Robbins was married to John Lynch. Sage got married to Lynch when she was just 19 and John was 30. They got married in 1992 but it didn't last for long as they got divorced in 2000.

The couple ended their marriage after Robbins was caught kissing her second husband Tony. After their separation, Lynch threatened Tony to sue in the court 'citing alienation for affection' for his alleged relationship with his Sage when they were still married.

Later, Sage denied the accusations stating that Tony was not the reason for their annulled marriage. Some media like the Vancouver Sun had already made some tongue lashing statements on Tony describing him as a 'Wife Thief.'

John didn't take this matter lightly and filed a defamation lawsuit and he was paid damages worth $20,000.
