The Russian attorney, Natalya Veselnitskaya who met with U.S. President Donald Trump’s eldest son drew some serious attention of the American officials over her alleged lobbying against a U.S. law despised by Kremlin and a sturdy hotel bill landed to U.S. authorities for reimbursement.

Donald Trump Jr. has admitted meeting with the Russian lawyer on a campaign-related matter. According to Trump Jr, she offered to provide damaging information about Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

The report on the meeting came during the ongoing Congressional and FBI investigations into contacts between Russian officials and Trump associates- probes that have dogged Trump’s administration despite his denials of any indecency.

Veselnitskaya’s June 2016 face-to-face with Donald Trump Jr., Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner, and others also became a public news months after she told a U.S. federal court that she had been denied a U.S. visa but was granted an exception to shield a Russian businessman in a money-laundering case closely watched by top officials in Moscow.

The deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, of White House said the meeting was not ill-suited and objected to ongoing suspicions of campaign operators conspiring with Russians.

Veselnitskaya, on July 8, told in a statement to The New York Times that she did not converse about the presidential campaign with Trump's son, had “never acted on behalf of the Russian government,” and “never discussed any of these matters with any representative of the Russian government.”
