On Wednesday, the 21 years old Romanian tourist Lucian Miu pa s sed away after slipping and falling 20 feet near the Bridalveil Fall at the Yosemite National Park.
Lucian left the marked trail to view the famous waterfall when he slipped on the wet boulder and fell the 20 feet. As per NBC News, Associated Press, and Fox News, the tourist died at the hospital.
The park officials released a statement on Instagram, where they revealed that Lucian’s death is the third incident near the waterfalls this week. The park officials wrote:
Two separate incidents occurred at the base of Bridalveil Fall when the subjects hiked to the viewing platform below Bridalveil Fall and scrambled up the boulder field toward the base of the waterfall, bypa s sing signs that advise against leaving the trail.
As per the park officials, the emergency responders provided advanced medical attention before the arrival of helicopters to take them to El Captain Meadow. After that, the ambulances transported the hikers to the hospital.
