Richard’s notable projects in 1973 were album Ringo. He launched his own label Planet Records in 1978. It ran only for six years and sold to RCA. Richard Perry continued to produce some of his acts after leaving the Planet Records which include Pointer Sisters.
The producer Perry spent a latter part of the 1980s pulling together a pa s sion project. He played a part of a record producer in a film named American Hot Was in 1978. The film was based on a life of a disc jockey named Alan Freed.
