Reality star Elsa Patton has died. The Real Housewives of Miami star passed away over the Mother's Day weekend after a long illness. She was aged 84.
Page Six confirmed her death on Sunday where it also mentioned her family had asked fans to 'raise a glass of champagne' to the favorite. Patton appeared in the RHOM several times alongside her daughter Marysol Patton.
The Patton released a statement Sunday announcing Elsa Patton's death which read:
In lieu of tears, the family asks you to raise a glass of good champagne in honor of Elsa's memory. Our beloved Elsa Patton (AKA Mama Elsa) passed away over Mother's Day weekend after a long illness.
The statement further continued,
She was surrounded by her family and close friends. Elsa was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Donald Patton who passed away last February.
The statement also revealed Patton is survived by her two children, Marysol Patton and Thomas Anthony Jones, daughter in law Svetlana and grandson Hunter. Her daughter Marysol, 52, has appeared on all three seasons of The Real Housewives of Miami; from 2011 to 2013.
Funeral service for Elsa Patton will be held in Miami on Friday.
