A woman of 25 has come forward with the allegation that a New York police officer told her to flash her breasts if she wanted to avoid being arrested for possessing marijuana.
Jasmine Campbell has alleged a New York Police officer Javier Munoz mistreated her during a traffic stop in February 2014 in East New York.
Campbell accuses that Munoz kept staring at her breast and leaned in closely when he was speaking to her. Campbell told New York Post,
He kept looking down at my chest. He asked me: 'Do you have anything underneath your shirt?' I said 'No,
She added,
I felt embarra s sed, He leaned in further and asked: 'Do you want to show me something?' He said that with a smirk on his face.
She explained when she denied his demand, Munoz asked her to get out of the car with her hands up. Munoz arrested her for marijuana possession. However, she told the friend with her at the time was who possessed it.
She spent a night in jail before the charges against her were dismissed. Campbell filed a suit against the officer and department for $2 million in 2016. But, she says, the NYPD offered her $2,500 on Thursday to settle the lawsuit which she declined straightaway.
