Missouri Man And Woman Arrested And Charged With Lifelong Rape Of 14-Year-Old Autistic Girl
- A man and woman have been arrested and charged with multiple rapes of a 14 years old girl with autism.
- The man identified as Steven Nelson was charged with five counts of statutory rape, statutory sodomy, and incest.
- A woman, Paula Stark was also arrested in the case and charged with two counts of child endangerment.
- Nelson confessed he has been raping the girl since she was 3 and he would have sex with her four to five times a day since she turned 12.
- Nelson is set at $250,000 bond and another woman, Paula Stark has been set at $100,000 bond.
An Independence couple has been arrested and charged with life-long rape of a 14-year-old autistic child. Steven Nelson, 42, and another woman, Paula Stark, 47 were arrested over the girl's rape.
Nelson was charged with five counts of statutory sodomy and incest and Stark was charged with two counts of child endangerment.
As per the court records, the 14-year-old girl, who is the man and woman's family member has autism with low verbalization skills.
An officer was called to an Independence middle school last week after the girl told her teacher that her "bottom hurt." Later she explained what happened to her with the help of dolls which she arranged like the sexual positions. The court record says she identified the girl doll as herself and the boy doll as Nelson. Then, she was taken into protective custody.
Nelson confessed his crime and said the alleged abuse had been going on since 2007 when the girl was just 3 years old. Nelson told the investigator on Thursday that he had sex with the girl four to five times a day since she turned 12. He further added he forced the girl to give him oral sex four-five times a day since she was 12.
The court records further elaborated his disgusting crimes against the girl. It detailed Nelson would allegedly put the girl on his lap clothed while he was erect or sit on her chest while he masturbated.
Nelson told Stark caught him recently with the girl around three weeks before and since then, she had seen him having sex with her five or six times but she chose to ignore it every time.
Meanwhile, Stark told police that she only learned Nelson's heinous crime a few weeks back. Initially, she insisted to have reported the incidents many times with police, however, later she admitted she lied and had never made a report.
Nelson remains under custody with $250,000 bond and Stark has been set at $100,000. They both are scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
