Singer Meat Loaf was hospitalized over the weekend after he fell off the stage in Texas. He reportedly suffered a broken collarbone.
In a newly obtained video, the singer can be seen speaking to his fans on Saturday night's program during Texas Frightmare Weekend. As he walked across the stage, he lost his footing and fell off the back the stage through the curtain.
Several sources reported the singer, 71, stumbled over a bundle of loose wires on the stage before he toppled off the stage. Meat Loaf was immediately taken to the Texas hospital where he spent the night.
He also had to cancel his Sunday's appearance at the festival. The event organizers released a statement after the incident that read:
As everyone knows, Meat Loaf fell today. We wanted to keep you updated as soon as we knew something. We just found out that the hospital is keeping him overnight for observation.
The statement further continued,
He will not be able to return on Sunday, but he has already confirmed that he will be back in 2020! He's a trooper and we are praying for a speedy recovery!
The I'd Do Anything for Love singer keeps making news for his health condition. Last year, he'd had severe back problems. He underwent several surgeries due to which he was unable to move without a walker.
