Emmy Award winner host María Celeste Arraras is a Puerto Rican journalist and TV show host. She is also popular among children from her children book The Magic Cane.  As of 2019, she is the host and the managing editor of Al Rojo Vivo con María Celeste which airs in 15 Latin American countries, and in the USA. 

Early Life And Education Of Maria Celeste Arraras  

Maria Celeste Arraras was born on 27 September 1960 under sun sign Libra to her patents; father José Enrique Arrarás and mother Brenda Lopez de Arraras in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Her father is a  politician, sports leader, lawyer, and educator.   

 In 1978Maria Celeste Arraras attended the Loyola University of New Orleans in New Orleans, Louisiana. She majored in communications and public relations and graduated with honors.

During her childhood days, she had a keen interest in swimming and wanted to be a professional swimmer. She participated in several swimming competitions from which she earned three medals at the Central American and Caribbean Swimming Championships. She also got qualified for the 1976 Summer Olympics but due to her illness, she had to draw back from the competition.  

In 1986, Maria started her professional broadcasting career and worked as a news anchor and reporter at a local Puerto Rican television station, Channel 24.    

The Univision affiliate in New York City hired her as its co-anchor in 1987. In 2002, she left the channel and worked for Telemundo as the host and Managing Editor of the show Al Rojo Vivo con Maria Celeste. Furthermore, in 2004, she co-hosted the Brown-Black Democratic Presidential Debate for MSNBC in Lowa.

For all her contributions to the industry as a host and journalist, she received three Emmy Awards. She was presented first Emmy Award in 2005, the second one in 2014 and the third one in September 2016.  

Moreover, she also has won the Silver Circle Award given by National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Coming into Maria Celeste Arraras' personal life, she is possibly single. She was married to Manny Arvesu from 1990 to 2004. The then-couple shares 3 children; Adrian Arvesu, Julian Arvesu, and Lara Giuiliana Arvesu.  

They also adopted a one-year-old Russian boy in 2000 from an orphanage in Eastern Europe. The couple was the first Latina celebrities to adopt the child, Vadim later changed to Adrian.

After six years of being single, she then started dating Raul Quintana in 2010 but the relationship could not last long.
