Grammy-winning American musician Lawrence Leathers, whose body was discovered last month, had reported being choked for thirty minutes.

As per prosecutors, the 29 years old Sterling held Lawrence in a chokehold for around thirty minutes whereas the 41 years old Harris sat on his chest and punched him numerous times in the face.
Sterling’s grip was so tight that some of the bones of his neck were broken. After Lawrence was dead, Lisa dragged his body into the stairwell of their building. She left him on the stairwell to be discovered by other tenants.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner announced that Lawrence died for homicidal asphyxia with the compression of the neck.
Neither Lisa nor Sterling has entered pleas to charges. They have been released on bail.
