Lake Bell is an American writer, director, and actress.  She is known for her breakout performance in a television series Miss Match. Her other professional roles in TV series are Surface, The Practice, How to Make It in America, Children's Hospital

Likewise, Bell has also played several prime roles in movies like What Happens in Vegas, Pride & Glory, Burning Palms, It’s Complicated, A Good Old Fashioned Orgy, and No String Attached. Bell has also written as well as directed a short film Worst Enemy which had also won an award. 

Early Life And Education Of Lake Bell

Bell was born on 24th March 1979 in New York City.  Bell is an American by nationality and belongs to the White-American ethnicity.

Bell is the daughter of Robin Bell. Her father Harvey Siegel is the owner of a design firm in New York named Robin Bell Design. Her father is Jewish while her mother is Protestant. She was bought up in a comically dysfunctional family. 

Bell has also an older brother Luke Bell Seigel. He is the owner of Door Company and sliding wall named Raydoor in New York City. Bell also has two half-sisters named Mackenzie and Courtney

Bell attended The Chapin School in New York and also Westminster School in Simsbury Connecticut. She also attended St. Edward’s School as well as Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. 

Before attending the Rose Bruford College, Bell performed in many theatrical productions like The Children's Hour, Six Degree of Separation, The Seagull, Pentecost and Light Shining in Buckinghamshire. She graduated in 2002 from Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama in London.

Lake Bell's Professional Career

In 2002, Lake Bell started her career landing the role in the film Speakeasy. In 2003, she acted in a psychological thriller film, I Love Your Work. She played the female lead role in the NBC TV film War Stories along with Jeff Goldblum

In 2004, Bell featured in wrestling film named Slammed. In the same year, she also appeared in the final four episodes of The Practice as Sally Heep. Later, she had a lead role in the science fiction series named Surface.

In 2008, Bell made an appearance playing the female lead role in a thriller film Under Still Waters. For the film, she won the Newport Beach Film Festival Award for Outstanding Performance in Acting.

Bell had also given her voice in a video game Prototype in 2009. In the same year, she starred in a romantic comedy film named It’s Complicated sharing the screen alongside Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, and John Krasinski. The movie also became a box office hit grossing over $219 worldwide on a production cost of $85 million.

Bell also appeared as a guest in an episode of the fourth season of series Wainy Days. In 2010, Bell portrayed the lead role in HBO TV series How to Make It in American

After that in 2011, Bell starred in a supernatural thriller film, Little Murder. She also played in the comedy film No String Attached.

As writer and director, Bell made her debut with a short film Worst Enemy in 2010. After that Bell made her debut in a feature film named In A World in 2013 in Sundance Film Festival.

Besides, Bell is also a successful model who appeared in photo shoots for several reputed magazines like Elle, Los Angeles, Maxim, and Esquire

In March 2012 on the Bell’s birthday, the couple got engaged. Finally, the couple got married on 1st June 2013 at Marigny Opera House in New Orleans in Louisiana. The couple welcomed their second child, a son named Ozgood Campbell in May 2017. She has also another daughter Nova Campbell from her previous relationship.
