The 30 years old, Kacey Musgraves bagged the album of the year award at the Academy of Country Music Awards(ACM) 2019 for her record Golden Hour over the nominees Eric Church, Dierks Bentley, Chris Stapleton, Dan + Shay.
The show was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday.
After receiving the award she said,
Oh my gosh, thank you so much,” before saying that sessions for the album were “some of the greatest memories of my entire life. I truly, truly appreciate this, and the chance to share my perspective.
Continuing the statement, she thanked the Academy of Country Music, her band, crew, and sister as well. She said,
Thank you to everyone out there still supporting and buying records. It means everything to me.
This win has made Musgraves the first artist to achieve the run of three wins. She has won the album of the year at the Grammy Awards, Country Music Association Awards, ACM Awards.
Previously, she won ACM album of the year award for Same Trailer Different Park in the year 2014.

It can be freaky, because Golden Hour really resonated with a lot of people and reached far beyond what I ever thought it could do. So there can be a worry inside your mind a little bit, as a creative person, thinking about the fact that there’s no way to bank on the muse coming and visiting you again.
