Bringing Up Bates Star Josie Balka And Husband Kelton Balka Reveal Gender Of Their First Child
- American reality stars Josie and Kelton Balka are having a baby girl.
- The happily married couple's first child's gender was revealed in a press release from the UPtv, the Bringing Up Bates' original broadcaster.
- The lovebirds have also decided to name their to-be-born daughter Willow Kristy in honor of Balka's mother who died while giving birth to her fifth child.
- The lovebirds announced they were expecting their first child together in an Instagram post in February.
It will be a baby girl!
The Bringing Up Bates star, Josie Balka, 19, and her husband Kelton Balka have revealed the gender of their upcoming little bundle of joy and it will be a baby girl for them.
The UPtv, the original broadcaster of Bringing Up Bates, confirmed the sex of the happy couple's to-be-born first child in a press release, reported People. The lovebirds also announced the gender of their first child in a social media post on Thursday, 28th March where Bates wrote "ITS A GIRL" alongside their photo.
The press release also confirmed the name of the couple's daughter will be Willow Kristy which they named after Balka's mother, who died when he was only 13 while giving birth to his sister, Kierstin and her fifth child.
On an episode of their family reality show, Balka, 23, told about his mother's death as:
That was a really, really difficult time for our family, the hardest thing I've ever been through.
Meanwhile, the couple teased the gender announcement on 27th March, before the confirmation, posting a black-and-white snapshot where they asked their fans to guess their baby's sex.
Balka and Bates first announced the upcoming arrival of their first child in February just four months after they got married. On Valentine's Day, reality star Bates took to her social media to announced she was pregnant with her first child. There she also revealed their baby boy will join them in July 2019. Talking exclusively to People, the mother-to-be told,
We couldn’t be happier to announce that we’re having a baby! We are a little nervous but totally flooded with joy as we’re starting this new journey of love and parenting together!
As previously reported, Balka and Bates tied the knot in October 2018 in a romantic outdoor ceremony in Tennessee where the bride was seen in an A-line, long-sleeve white gown with a high-necked lace bodice.
