Synopsis
Joseph Adam Jonas aka Joe Jonas, a Hollywood actor/singer, is famous as a member of the pop rock band Jonas Brothers. The band was formed by Kevin Jonas along with his two brothers Joe and Nick Jonas.
The trio performed together as a band from 2005-13. Currently, Jonas is the lead vocalist for the band DNCE. Jonas debuted his acting career in 2007 from a TV series Hannah Montana. In 2008, he appeared in the Disney’s TV movie Camp Rock.
Early Life and Education
Joe was born as Joseph Adam "Joe" Jonas on August 15, 1989, in Casa Grande, Arizona to his mother, Denise Jonas, a sign language teacher and singer. His father, Paul Kevin Jonas, Sr. who is a songwriter, musician and former ordained minister at an Assemblies of God church.
Joe comes from a mixture of descendants that comprises of Italian, German, English, Irish, Scottish, Cherokee, as well as French-Canadian descent. Joe is of American Nationality. He has three siblings; Nick, Kevin and Frankie.
Jonas began his career along with his brothers at a small age. He became a child star after appearing in an episode of Hannah Montana which gained him much recognition. He completed his high school diploma from the Eastern Christian High School, New Jersey.
Career
Joe Jonas along with his brothers Kevin and Nick filmed a Disney Channel Original Movie called Camp Rock which brought them into the limelight.
Jonas then reprised his role of character Shane in Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. Its soundtracks were released on 10th August 2010. Jonas along with his brother then starred in the Disney’s series JONAS as character Joseph Lucas.
Daylight/Columbia records signed the brothers and thus Joe became a member of the pop-rock band named Jonas Brothers which was previously named Sons of Jonas along with Nick and Kevin.
However, Columbia Records dropped the band in 2007. They then signed with Hollywood Records in February of the same year. They released their second album Jonas Brothers that reached number five on the Billboard Hot 200 chart.
They released their fourth album and then parted ways with Hollywood Records. Joe went on to do solo albums. In 2015, he formed a band DNCE along with Jack Lawless, Cole Whittle and JinJoo Lee, they premiered their debut single Cake by the Ocean on 14 September 2015.
In 2016, the trio released their first studio album DNCE, It debuted in the top 20 on the Billboard 200 and earned its highest international peak in Australia at number 32. Then, they performed Revival Tour of Selena Gomez. In 2017, they performed in the opening act of Bruno Mars- 24K Magic World Tour.
Personal Life
Jonas has had a long history of relationships ranging from singers to models. He has had many girlfriends but his first significant relationship was with singer Taylor Swift in July 2008. Both of their fans were excited at the news of their relationship but then the couple then broke up in October 2008.
Joe gave the break up over the phone. He started having an affair with actress Camilla Belle. He dated her till July 2009. In May 2010, Jonas began dating actress and singer Demi Lovato.
And for a brief course of time he dated actress Ashley Greene. He then began a relationship with model Blanda Eggenschwiler in September 2012 and broke up in July 2014. Jonas is currently dating model Gigi Hadid. He has not talked about getting married amidst the media and public.
