A Harty Condolence! James Lipton, an American writer best known as the creator and host of Ovation TV television show Inside the Actors Studio, has died. He was 93.
Ovation TV took to Twitter to share the tragic news writing that Lipton pa s sed away on Monday, March 2.
The network added,
We’ll miss him dearly, but we wish him peace as he arrives at those pearly gates. #RestInPeace.
As for the cause of his death, his wife, Kedakai Turner, told TMZ that the television personality died after a long battle with bladder cancer.
She told the publication,
There are so many James Lipton stories but I’m sure he would like to be remembered as someone who loved what he did and had tremendous respect for all the people he worked with.
Inside the Actors Studio started airing on Bravo in 1994. He hosted the show for its 22 seasons i.e. 269 episodes. All the episodes were all taped at the Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University in New York City.
He left the show in 2018 but later in October 2019, he appeared as a guest host of the show on Ovation TV for its season 23.
A memorial service is set for the late writer. Rest in Peace James Lipton!
