New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and her long-term boyfriend Clarke Gayford, who are already parents to ten-month-old daughter Neve, got engaged over Easter.
The couple enjoyed and spent Easter in Mahia at Clarke’s family bach. A spokesman for Jacinda and Clarke revealed that the pair has agreed to tie the knot over the Easter break.
However, the spokesman could not reveal the date on when the pair will be sharing the vows. Likewise, he could not tell who had proposed to whom.
The spokesman said:
I can't say anything about it other than they are engaged and it happened over Easter,
Ardern’s press secretary revealed that she has been wearing a ring since Easter on her middle finger, not on the traditional ring finger.
Don’t forget the false alarms of her engagement in the past days. There has been at least two fake news when she was spotted sporting bling on her ring finger.
Clearing the false alarms in the past, Jacinda cleared out the engagement ring saying she had to continually swap her rings between fingers on her left hand because of eczema.
Thirty-eight years old Jacinda is the only second prime minister in the world who gave birth in office. She was later taken to the infant onto the floor of the UN Assembly in New York.
Jacinda’s partner Clarke has taken the sole responsibility of stay-at-home dad.
