Laflamme started her career as a copywriter and script a s sistant in 1988 at CKCO. Then she also served on Canada AM as a co-host. She was a s sociated with CTV National News in 2003. At that time, she was hired as a foreign correspondent and a backup anchor.

Lisa Laflamme has worked on several stories including 9/11 attack, Iraq War in Afghanistan and Iraq, the Arab Spring in Cairo, Hurricane Katrina, Haiti earthquake in 2010, the death of Pope John Paul II in 2005 and the election of Pope Francis in 2013 among other important news. In addition, she also performed as a reporter for Canadian federal election each year since 1997 and 2016 Summer Olympics.

For her dedication and hard work, Laflamme was nominated for Gemini award in the Best News Anchor category for five times and won the Canadian Cable Television Association award in 1999.

 

LaFlamme also achieved the Best National Newscast for a Canadian Screen Award and Best News Anchor for CTV National News in 2014. Most recently she won Best National News Anchor for a Canadian Screen Award.
