Melrose’s modeling career

Melrose interested in modeling and designing since her young age. Late, she pursued her fashion degree from The Art Institute of California - San Francisco. Then, she participated in America’s Next Top Model, a reality television show.

On that show, Bickerstaff got the stage name "Melrose," saying she removed the "issa" from her real name because she didn’t need it anymore. Similarly, she got into the "last two" on the series, regardless of being portrayed as the character of hatred.

Her walk on the ramp was judged greater to that of her competitor CariDee English. However, English won the overall competition. She ended the competition as a runner-up and this show made her successful and established in the American modeling industry.

After Top Model series, she revealed that she was going to help her Lost cast member in designing cloth. In early 2007, she featured in Malan Breton’s show Ready to wear in New York fashion week. After two months, she appeared in New York’s Tarran week with Ivanka Trump and Marcus Schenkenberg. Previously, she signed for Bleu Model management and LA Model and is currently working with Leni’s Model Management.

In late 2007, she signed with storm management, the same agency which manages models like Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss, and many others.
