How Celebrities Studied In College

When we think of fortune and fame, college isn’t usually the first thing to come to mind. We don’t always think of our favorite musicians, actors, and comedians sitting in a lecture hall. However, a lot of celebrities lived through college life - some with surprisingly impressive degrees. For instance, did you know that Mayim Bialik - Amy in the Big Bang Theory - actually studied neuroscience? How about that Rebel Wilson was a law student or Ashton Kutcher has a degree in biomedical engineering?

This means that not only can these celebrities give you tips on style and performance, but studying as well.

Don’t Shy Away From Help

Students spend a lot of their lives studying and there’s plenty of help available for that. For example, a student struggling with a cause and effect essay can go online and get help from an essay writing service. These services can help students get more time for other activities and subjects.

Natalie Portman once opened up about her struggles with depression during college. She encourages that everyone not only reaches out for help for academic problems. That they should also reach out when they have mental health obstacles as well.

Keep Your Goals In Mind

All of this work can get overwhelming at times and it can distract students from their larger goals. Yet, it’s crucial to keep larger goals and the “why” of what they’re doing in mind. Without this, all these a s signments can be rather draining.

In these moments, it’s a good idea to take a tip from actor Harrison Ford. Referring to his role in the Star Wars franchise, he once said the following;

'May the Force be with you’ is charming but it’s not important. What’s important is that you become the Force - for yourself and perhaps for other people.

Keep Going

No matter what happens in college, it’s important to keep going. Don’t let anything dissuade you from success. Many celebrities have noted how critical it is to never give up on the dreams you hold dear. Dax Shepard has the following advice;

Success is just a war of attrition. Sure, there’s an element of talent you should probably possess. But if you just stick around long enough, eventually something is going to happen.

Don’t Take This Time For Granted

Anne Hathaway received her degree in English and Women’s Studies. On talking about the subject, she goes into detail about how it is a time that people are learning to be adults. They’re learning how to take care of themselves and be proactive. More than anything, she states, it’s a time where students learn to think and develop their own ideas.

Dave Franco has a similar piece of wisdom when it comes to meeting people during this time. He reminds everyone that everyone in university is in the same boat. They’re all learning and growing. So, don’t be shy when it comes to making friends and talking to people.

Don’t Forget To Relax

It’s easy to get caught up in working and studying constantly. Chugging coffee and staying up all night is almost a cliche at this point. Josie Loren encourages students to remember to take some time to themselves.

Work Hard

Of course, students should work hard throughout college. While this can be a fun time and you should let yourself relax, don’t slack off. Plenty of famous people highlight the importance of hard work.

Chef Gordon Ramsay implores people to not be afraid to “Put your head down and work hard.”  If you want another perspective, comedian Joan Rivers once said:

If I can’t make it through one door, I’ll go through another door - or I’ll make a door. Something terrific will come no matter how dark the present is.

Conclusion

There’s a lot to handle in college. There’s also a lot of wisdom from people who’ve been through it and found success. Keep these mantras in mind as you push through.
