Journalist Elise Jordan's Married Life
MSNBC Political Analyst, Elise Jordan has a successful professional career, but when you consider this beautiful journalist's personal life, it is not as successful or happy.
The 33-year-old National Review columnist was married to Michael Hastings (an author, contributing editor to Rolling Stone, a reporter for BuzzFeed, and one who wrote extensively on the Iraq war for Newsweek) on May 21, 2011, in Hernando, Mississippi. The duo exchanged a vow at an intimate ceremony in the presence of their close ones and family members.
However, their marriage was short-lived as Michael Hasting died a tragic death just two years of their marriage.
Hastings died on June 18, 2013, in a single-vehicle automobile crash in his Mercedes C250 Coupé at approximately 4:25 a.m. in the Hanc* * k Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.
A witness to the crash said the car seemed to be traveling at maximum speed and was creating sparks and flames before it fishtailed and crashed into a palm tree. Video from a nearby security camera reportedly shows Hastings' vehicle speeding and bursting into flames.
Talking to CNN's Piers Morgan after the death of her husband, Elise Jordon said:
I have no doubt that he was pursuing a hot story. He always had at least five hot stories going — that was Michael. My gut here is that it was just a really tragic accident and I’m very unlucky and the world is very unlucky.
One can only imagine how hurtful it must have been.
