Ginger Renee Colonomos, known popularly by her pseudonym, Ginger Zee, is an American TV personality and currently works as weather anchor for Good Morning America. After graduating from the Rockford High school in Rockford, Zee decided to be a meteorologist and pursue her career. She has spoken in an interview stating that being a meteorologist has been her childhood dream and later decide to pursue her career. She later graduated from Valparaiso University, Indiana with a bachelor of science degree in meteorology. After graduation, she worked for various media outlets including WEYI-TV, WLAV-FM, WOOD-TV in Michigan. Later she also worked for WMAQ in Chicago, Illinois. She got her first break when she was asked to fill in the weekend edition of "The Today Show', which is fifth longest running show in American history. In 2011, she made her first appearance on, 'Good Morning America Weekend' which made her a national face. She also made subsequent appearances on "Nightline" and ABC, 'World News'. They were single parents having no children, until June 29, 2015, that is when the couple announced they are expecting their first child in December. They welcomed their son, Adrian Benjamin on December 19, 2015. There are no rumors of divorce prior to her wedding and is said to be happily married.
