The Father Of Four, Robert Joseph, Died While Defending And Saving His Five Years Old Daughter From A Dog Attack.
The 33 years old Robert Joseph Quick died on 31st May after he tried to save his five years old daughter who was attacked by a dog.
The officers arrived at Robert’s house in Fort Madison, Iowa, where they found an aggressive dog attacked him. When the police officers tried to help him, Robert requested them to help his five years old daughter who had been bitten in the face by the dog.
The dog was so aggressive that they had to use their weapons to stop the animal from attack him.
The statement from the Fort Madison Police Department said:
Mr. Quick had defended his daughter and undoubtedly saved her life by his actions.
Robert was later pronounced dead at the Fort Madison Hospital. The Medical Personnel were unsuccessful in saving his life.
Sources confirmed that Robert had a heart attack during the incident by the time the EMTs got to him.
A GoFundMe page was created to help the family with burial expenses. On Wednesday, the page organizers thanked everyone who donated and supported the fund.
Robert’s funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday and a memorial fund has been established.
Robert was the father of four children.
