A Wisconsin father was arrested after he fatally punched his 5-year-old son for eating his Father's Day cheesecake.
The Milwaukee man identified as Travis Stackhouse initially claimed his infant son, Sir Stackhouse sustained injuries including bruises to both eyes after falling down the stairs last weekend.
After a sweeping investigation, police found the injuries were not consistent with Travis' story, and an autopsy and then the father confessed to hitting his son in the face and stomach to death. Travis is charged with reckless homicide and is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.
Meanwhile, Sir's aunt, Macshaunya Wright said,
This baby was little, tiny, close to 20 pounds or so, and you doing all that? It's ridiculous. I can't even process a kid going through that.
According to People, the incident happened on June 21, while the defendant was at their home where he lives with his girlfriend and their four other kids.
Travis told in the initial statement that his girlfriend had returned to home from her job at around noon and again left at around 3. After she left, he said Sir and one of his siblings were playing Nerf basketball.
Travis further said all of a sudden Sir came "somersaulting down the stairwell," however, he told Sir didn't get injured.
But, later in an interview with investigators, Stackhouse admitted to hitting Sir after he got angry on catching three of his five children eating his Father's Day cheesecake. According to the Associated Press, the infant's mother called 911 while her boyfriend was out to a bar.
