According to a source, the former couple first met at James' office for an interview in the early 1980s. James was attracted to Aisha since the beginning.
James offered her a job, but she rejected as she wanted to start her own boutique. He wanted to be in touch with her, so he decided to invest in her business even he had no saving. James then took bank loans to fulfill Aisha's dream.

He explained in an interview back in 2008:
'Attractive, feisty and well-educated, she was very different to other Muslim girls I'd met, and I was captivated.'
Eventually, they started dating, and James proposed to Aisha at the age of 21. The couple tied the knot in the year 1983. The wedding ceremony was held in Regent’s Park mosque in central London. The pair then worked together to establish their business empire.

The Former Couple's Divorce Settlement
James and his wife of 32 years Aisha's divorce was settled in February 2016. Reportedly, James moved out of their mansion in leafy north London soon after the separation.
The divorce was settled with the agreement that James whose net worth is around $100 million should pay £25million to his wife as he established his empire with the support, Aisha.
The reason behind their separation is still unknown. As of now, both of them are busy with their respective career and is trying to move on in their life.
