Eduardo Verchez Garcia AKA Eddie Garcia, who has appeared in over 600 movie and television roles, has pa s sed away at the age of 90. During his last days, he had been in a coma for around two weeks after falling on the set of his new television show.
Eddie’s family and agents confirmed that his condition got worse yesterday with a very little sign of brain activity and pa s sed away at 4:55 pm local time on Thursday.

However, Eddie started his acting career in 1949 movie Siete Infantes de Lara. He then rarely stopped working since then. He had become the most-nominated and most awarded actors at the FAMAS Awards. He had 20 wins under his belt.
Eddie is the only actor who has been inducted into FAMAS Hall of Fame for three different categories; Best Actor, Best Director, and Best Supporting Actor.
Eddie was the most hard-working actors in the Philippine film industry. Right before he died, in last April, he said that retirement was not in his vocabulary.
On 8th June, he was working on his latest project; television show named Rosang Agimat when he tripped and fell. He was then rushed to the hospital with his family.
