The former contestant on the famous NBC reality series The Biggest Loser, Daniel Wright, has died at the age of 30. He pa s sed away from leukemia.
Daniel, who participated on The Biggest Loser’ season seven in 2009, died on Sunday morning as per his friends on social media.
Friends Courtney Crozier Respess was also the one who confirmed his death sharing a touching tribute on Facebook. Repsess has appeared on The Biggest Loser’s season 11.
As per Respess, Daniel fought hard during his battle with cancer and more. She claimed that Daniel was one of the kindest people she had ever met and admitted that he is a true difference maker in the world. She added:
Please keep him & his beautiful, amazing, and beyond strong wife Rebecca Wright in your prayers today as he is being called to heaven.
Back in October 2017, Daniel was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 28. He relapsed and was diagnosed with more severe type of leukemia in December 2018.
Daniel was only nineteen years old when he appeared on The Biggest Loser. He weighed around 454 pounds during that time. He then shed 60 pounds dropping to 394 pounds while being eliminated from the competition in the fourth week.
Daniel then returned to the seasons’ live finale dropping a total of 142 pounds and weighing at 312 pounds.
Daniel returned in season eight where he met his future wife, Rebecca Meyer. He dropped 111 pounds again weighing around 201 pounds whereas his lover Rebecca shed 139 weighs turning to 140 pounds to 279 pounds.
Rebecca’s last Facebook post talked about her husband’s struggles with his condition on May 24.
