Rapper Jon James Fell From A Wing Of A Plane To Death While Performing A Music Video Stunt

Canadian rapper Jon James McMurray died after falling from a wing of a plane while performing a stunt for a new music video. The 33-year-old rapper fell from the wing while he was walking along the wing.

The rapper, who is known for his stunts on his YouTube channel suffered a horrible accident on Saturday in British Columbia.

His management team said that the rapper had walked too far out on the wing making the small aircraft go into a downward spiral. Ryan Desrochers, one of the members of the management team, told CNN in a statement which read:

Jon held onto the wing until it was too late, and by the time he let go, he didn't have time to pull his chute. He impacted and died instantly.

Later, the management team released a statement describing the incident and the rappers death which said:

He died filming for a project he had been working on for months. His final act included performing an airplane stunt that included rapping while wlalking on the wing.

The statement further read:

As Jon got further out onto the wing of the plane, it caused the small Cessna to go into a downward spiral that the pilot couldn't correct. Jon held onto the wing until it was too late, and by the time he let go, he didn't have time to pull his chute. He impacted and died instantly.

The statement further continued,

He filled everyone around him with positivity, and never spoke poorly about another person. He truly had a heart of gold.

McMurray, who was a well-trained skier, pursued a career in singing after he had a back injury which prevented him from continuing his career in skiing. He released his first album, Rex Leo in 2016.

Rory Wayne Bushfield, who was featured in the video, paid tribute to McMurray in an Instagram post on Monday, 22nd October. He wrote:

The sun is not as bright today as it was yesterday when it was shinning on my homies last moments. Jon james Mcmurray, my very best, dearest and oldest friend passed yesterday evening in a skydive accident.
