Double happiness for Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds! The British Prime Minister has announced that he is engaged to his loving girlfriend and expecting a baby with her.
British media reported on Saturday, February 29, that Johnson, 55, who has been pushing the United Kingdom successfully to exit the European Union, popped the question to Symonds at the end of 2019.
Sources also confirmed that Symonds is pregnant with Johnson's baby.
According to a Telegraph report, Johnson will be the first British prime minister in 200 years who will get married while in office.
Additionally, it was widely reported last year that Johnson and Symonds were the first unmarried couple to enter the prime minister's official residence which is at 10 Downing Street.
Moreover, Symonds is the youngest partner of a prime minister in 174 years.
Johnson was previously married twice. He first tied the knot with Allegra Mostyn-Owen in 1987 but after six years of marriage, the two got a divorce in 1993.
Following his divorce with Mostyn-Owen, he exchanged vows with a British lawyer, Marina Wheeler. Unfortunately, they also called it quits. The two share four children; two daughters Lara Lettice Johnson and Ca s sia Peaches Johnson, and two sons Theodore Apollo Johnson and Milo Arthur Johnson.
