The defending World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua has reclaimed his IBF and WBA titles in a long ten rounds bout in Cardiff.
The 28-year-old British boxer endured a frustrating night before he stopped Carlos Takam from taking his titles. Joshua was playing his first match since he ended the great Wladimir Klitschko- where he required his advantages in speed, size, and power to the French opponent.
Joshua has taken his record to 20-0, after defeating Carlos Takam last night in the bout which came to a controversial end- where referee opted to put Takam out of his misery by stopping the fight in the tenth round of the bout.
The former Olympic gold medalist backed referee Edwards though; admitting that that was not his concern to protect Takam as that is what a referee is there to do.
The young British fighter suffered a swollen nose on the second round due to a collision with Takam's head which appeared to destabilize the Watford-born fighter.
