Angel Correa was born Ángel Martín Correa Martínez on 9 March 1995, in Rosario, Argentina. He is the son of Marcela Martínez and Angel Correa. At the age of 12, both his father and brother pa s sed away.
Corea started playing football after joining San Lorenzo's youth setup.
Angel Correa's Professional Career
Angel Correa's first professional contract with the Ciclon came on 23 September 2012 and was promoted to the senior team in January 2013. Coming as a second-half substitute in a 0–1 loss match against Newell's Old Boys, the player made his professional debut for the club on March 31. He netted his first goal for the club on 11 May.
Correa finished the campaign scoring four-goals in 13 appearances. After his great performance in the previous season, he made his move to Spanish club Atletico Madrid signing a five-year contract for a reported fee of €7.5 million (8,787,037.50 US Dollar). Just after a month, however, Correa was not able to play for six months because of a heart tumor.
Following his recovery, Correa started light training in August and officially started playing for the club on 13 December. His first goal for the club came on 19 September 2015 in a 2–0 away win against SD Eibar. Wih the team, he also won the World Series.
Correa was a member of Argentina U-20 team for the 2015 South American Youth Football Championship, held in Uruguay. Scoring the last goal of the match, he made his full international debut in a 7–0 friendly home routing of Bolivia coming as a late substitute for Ezequiel Lavezzi.
