Openly gay Anderson Cooper is a father now! Yes, the Anderson Cooper 360° host announced that he welcomed his first child, a baby boy, via surrogate.
He has named his newborn son Wyatt Cooper. Anderson named him after his father, Wyatt Emory, who had died when he was 10 years old.
The CNN journalist, 52, announced the birth of his son during a broadcast of CNN Town Hall on Thursday, April 30.
He said, "On Monday, I became a father."
He added,
I never actually said that before out loud and it still kind of astonishes me. I’m a dad. I have a son and I want you to meet him.
Additionally, Cooper also shared a series of photos with the little one, who was born weighing 7 pounds, 2 ounces, on his Instagram on Thursday, April 30.
