Antonella Barba, American Idol-6 Contestant, To Face 10 Years In Prison Plus Other Fines For Possession and Selling Of Drugs

Former American Idol contestant has been found guilty on possession of illegal substances. Antonella Barba, a season-6 contestant who made it to the last 16 in 2007, pleaded guilty on the charges that would keep her at least 10 years behind the bar.
After she arrived at the courtroom on Tuesday, she confessed to possessing nearly two pounds of fentanyl to a stash house in Virginia with an intent to distribute. Her plea deal carries a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison.

The plea deal comes nearly four months after Barba was arraigned with 11 federal charges including conspiracy and possession of he r o i n, cocaine, and fentanyl.
The aspiring singer, 32, was arrested in October last year in Norfolk with fentanyl that she was delivering to her boss. She was initially indicted on selling or intending to sell 100 grams or more of he r o i n, but she denied the initial charges.
