Demain Bichir Announces His Wife Stefanie Sherk's Death

• Actor Demain Bichir announced his wife Stefanie Sherk's death in a heartfelt Instagram message.
• He wrote his girlfriend died peacefully on Saturday, 20th April.
• Bichir and Stefanie had been in a relationship for over seven years; started dating in 2011.

Mexican-American actor Demain Bichir mourns his wife's death. The Nun actor Bichir announced his wife, Canadian actress, and model Sherk's death in a heartfelt message on Instagram.

Bichir announced on Wednesday that his wife died peacefully on Saturday, April 20 at the age of 37. He wrote: "It has been the saddest and toughest time of our lives," alongside his post.

Dear friends, On behalf of the Sherk and the Bichir Nájera families, it is with inconceivable pain that I announce that on April 20, 2019, our dearest Stefanie Sherk, my beloved and loving wife, pa s sed away peacefully. It has been the saddest and toughest time of our lives and we don’t know how much time it will take for us to overcome this pain. Stefanie’s beautiful, angelical and talented presence will be immensely missed. We will hold Stefanie in our hearts forever. We thank everybody beforehand for their prayers and we respectfully ask for your understanding so we may grieve in peace and privacy in these incredibly difficult times. Bichir, however, didn't specify the cause of his wife's death. He also asked his fans and supporters for respect during his hard time.

Bichir and his late wife started dating in 2011 and remained in a happy relationship until her death. The couple didn't give birth to any children, however, Stefanie has a daughter from her previous relationship whom she gave birth in 2011.

Bichir was nominated for an Oscar for best actor for his role in Chris Weitz's A Better Life. He also worked in films like The Hateful Eight, Che: Guerrilla and Sex, Shame & Tears.
