A heroic Florida father bravely confronted a gang of teens who reportedly attempted to kidnap his daughter on Tuesday night.
Amber Brackney, 17, had been leaving the family home on Preservation Path, Crestview when she found the end of her driveway blocked with barrels.
A teen then stayed in her car and was able to maneuver around the obstacles to escape down the street in her vehicle.
Amber's father Terry Brackney grabbed his gun and ran outside after learning there was something wrong outside and tried to find a group of teens trying to force their way into his garage.
According to Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, the 51-year-old father opened fire on the group who then fled into the woods. He later found the teens had been unscrewing some of his security lights, possibly for the second kidnap attempt.
A neighbor made a felony traffic stop on Highway 4 after he realized the 2016 White Jeep Liberty was fleeing from the scene and called the cops.
Inside the jeep, cops found Keilon Johnson, 19, Tyree Johnson, 16, Austin French, 17, and 15-year old Kamauri Horn along with a knife, guns and a roll of tape.
Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office said:
The goal was to first force her out of her car by blocking the road with barrels and garbage cans.
The four teens are now charged with attempted kidnapping and attempted home invasion robbery by the Florida police.
