A Florida man has been arrested after he killed his 7-week-old daughter and has been charged with the first-degree murder.
The 29-year-old man identified as Arem Eydelman from Largo, Florida was taken into the custody after he confessed his crime saying he beat his child to death.
Eydelman was also booked on one count of violation of probation related to stolen property and one count of robbery by sudden snatching.
Authorities were called to his house on November 17, 2018, for an unresponsive child where the Sheriff's deputies found paramedics trying hard to revive the 7-week-old Gwendolyn Eydelman.
The baby was later taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital with the life-threatening injuries where she was announced dead hours later.
Arem Eydelman was alone with his daughter at his home while the child's mother was at work. Initially, he told police that he found the baby unconscious after waking up from a short nap, however, police told after an inquiry, he admitted to hitting the baby in her head with a closed fist while he was changing her diaper.
Furthermore, he also said he squeezed and shook the baby out of frustration. Immediately after the incident, he told his family that the baby was unconscious and he made an emergency call.
The ABC Action News reported that Gwendolyn Eydelman had a severe skull fracture along with bleeding on the brain and rib fractures. The outlet also reported that the culprit is not the baby's biological father and he met Gwendolyn's mother while she was 3 months along with her daughter and signed her birth certificate after she was born.
