Sage the Gemini, whose real name is Dominic Wynn Woods, is an American record producer, songwriter, and rapper born on 20th June 1992. He is best-known for his single 'Gas Pedal' featuring Iamsu! (Sudan Ameer Williams). He is a member of The HBK Gang also knows as The Heartbreak Gang founded by Iamsu!, Chief and P-Lo back in 2008.
Sage's single 'Gas Pedal' ranked number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100, which was his first hit;which also reached number 6 and 4 in Hot R&B Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs ,respectively. He produced his own song 'Red Nose', which ranked 54 on the Hot 100 and 12 on the Hot R&B Hip-Hop Songs. The two songs were an extended play from his debut 'Gas Pedal'.
On August 2014, Sage the Gemini signed a contract to a recording company called Republic Music. Since then, he started releasing songs like 'Remember Me' (March 2014), Guantanamera and Good Thing (both in May 2015). He has an upcoming album 'Bachelor Party' to be released this year (2016).
By the time he was 11 years old, Sage started home recording with his brother. He taught himself how to make beats, mixing and mastering and even producing, and learned with wholly self-sufficient.
At first, Sage decided to go solo and dropped his single online track 'You Should Know' on MySpace, which went viral immediately with more than three million views. Sage later joined Black Money Music Group and became the member of The HBK Gang. Since then, he started performing on stage and made a room in the industry.
In 2013, his songs and music were fancied by many recording industries like Epic Records , Def Jam, Bad Boy, Atlantic. Columbia reached out offering deals worth a total of $15 million, but in August 2013, he signed for the Universal Republic.
