Yuto Nagatomo
Born on 12 September 1986 in Saijo, Ehime, Japan Yuto Nagatomo is a Japanese footballer who is a defender at the club Inter - onale in Serie A. Nagatomo has been playing football since he was in Kindergarten but he was not recognized ma s sively before he was 20. He played football in school and also in University. He played for F.C Tokyo in one J.League Cup and also was in the Olympic qualifiers in Japan’s U-22 team. Nagatomo plays as a Defender for his Nation Japan and his Current Team is Inter - onale but he is playing for Inter Milan on loan transfer. He has a Sibling named Minoru Nagatomo.
Career
Nagatomo’s professional club football career started with F.C Tokyo in 2008. He was still in University then and he made 84 appearances for F.C Tokyo in his four years there. He was loaned to A.C Cesena in Italian Serie A IN July 2010. He played as a left back while in Cesena and was eventually signed on a permanent deal. After that he was sold to Inter - onale. Being impressed by Nagatomo’s performances for Cesena and in 2011 Asian Cup, Inter - onale signed him in January 2011. But without having him play in any league matches he was loaned to Inter Milan making him the first Asian ever in Inter Milan. On 6 February 2011Nagatomo made is debut for Inter Milan wearing the No.55 shirt. He scored his first goal for Inter Milan on 6 March 2011 in a 5-2 win against Genoa. He also became the second Asian ever to play in the quarter-finals of UEFA Champions league. Apart from his club career his international career is also very promising. He earned his first international cap in a friendly match against Ivory Coast on 24 May 2008. Nagatomo scored his first international goal on 13 November 2008 in a friendly match against Syria. He was a part of the Japan U-21 team in the 2008 Summer Olympics. He played for Japan in 2010 FIFA World Cup and also in 2011 AFC Asian Cup which Japan won. He also played for Japan in the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup.
