Willie Geist is an American television personality, humorist, and journalist who works as a co-anchor in the MSNBC’s Morning Joe and the co-anchor of the NBC’s Today’s take. He also serves as a fill-in anchor on the Today Show. He works as a correspondent for NBC News and NBC Sports. He also hosted the Olympic coverage for the NBC Network. Addition to it, he is an also a co-author of The New York Times bestselling book called Good Talk, Dad. The book was written in 2014 with his father Bill Geist. Born in the year 1975 May 3 at Evanston, Illinois to the parents Bill Geist, a popular author, columnist, and a CBS News correspondent and mother Jody Geist, a social worker, Willie was a well-raised child. He is the great-grandson of Hockey Hall of Fame hockey player Herbie Lewis. He also has a brother named Libby Wildes who is a documentary film producer.
Geist attended Ridgewood High School in Ridgewood, New Jersey. During his high school, he was the captain of the football and basketball teams. He was graduated from the Vanderbilt University based in Nashville, Tennessee. While at the University, he worked as an editor of the university’s official student newspaper, The Vanderbilt Hustler.
