Wayne Brady is a well-known versatile comedian. He is also an actor, singer, and television personality, best known for his appearance in the television comedy series Whose Line Is It Anyway. He worked as the host of the daytime talk show The Wayne Brady Show, the original host of Fox's Don't Forget the Lyrics!. 

He has been married twice in his life. He was married to Diana La s so from 1993-1995. He married Mandie Taketa on April 3, 1999. The couple has a named Maile Masako Brady, born on February 3, 2003. They separated on April 5, 2006, and Taketa filed for divorce on July 2, 2007.

Early Life And Career Of Wayne Brady

Wayne was born on June 2, 1972, in Columbus, Georgia. He is an American belonging to the Afro-American ethnicity. He was brought up by his grandmother in Florida.

He started acting at the young age of 16 whereby he performed at a community theater as well as the SAK Comedy Lab. Before enrolling at the University of Miami, he studied at the Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando.

Wayne’s career debut was in the improvisational theater British version of the show Whose Line Is It Anyway? in 1998. He won a Primetime Emmy Award for his performance in the show in 2003.

His next endeavor was hosting his very own show The Wayne Brady Show from 2001 to 2003. For this too, Brady won two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Talk Show Host.

Brady played the role of lawyer Billy Flynn in the Broadway revival of Chicago in 2004. He has guest-starred in Reno 911!, Stargate SG-1, and Chappelle’s Show as well. He became the host of TV Land’s talk show That’s What I’m Talking About and then hosted Celebrity Duets on Fox for a month the same year.

Brady has appeared for the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother, MTV show Wild N Out, CBC comedy Getting Along Famously, Dirt, 30 Rock, ABC film The List, Everybody Hates Chris, Kevin Hill, WWE Raw among many others.

Brady’s singing career consists of releasing a debut album that consisted of a cover of A Change is Gonna Come by Sam Cooke. The song won him a Grammy nomination. He has written songs and sang for Disney’s The Weekenders and Beautiful as You. Presently he hosts the 2009 revival of Let’s Make a Deal and Whose Line Is It Anyway.

Their relationship did not last long as this couple separated on April 5, 2006. Taketa filed for divorce almost a year later on July 2, 2007. As of 2014, he was rumored to be dating Rozanda Thomas, a TLC band member. There have also been false rumors of him being gay.

Brady opened up about his personal life and stated that he suffered from clinical depression. He has also gone on to state that his former wife Takata helped him when he had a mental breakdown at the age of 42.
