Tichina Arnold is an American actress, model, comedian, and singer. She is popular for portraying the roles of Rochelle on the UPN/CW sitcom ‘Everyboby Hates Chris’ and Pamela Lames on the FOX sitcom ‘Martin’. Similarly, she has also appeared as Judi Mann in the TV Land original sitcom ‘Happily Divorced’. Currently, she is working as Ca s sis Calloway on ‘Survivor’s Remorse’.
Early Life
Tichina Arnold was born on 28 June 1969 in Queens, New York. She belongs to a middle-cla s s African-American family. Her father was a police officer and mother was a sanitation department worker.
Early Career
Tichina Arnold attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York City. She began her acting career in 1986, when she made her New York film debut in ‘Little Shop of Horrors’. After that, she worked on two more operas ‘All My Children’ and ‘Ryan’s Hope’.
Sitcom Career
Tichina Arnold made guest appearances on ‘The Jaime Foxx Show’, ‘Soul Food’, Norm’ and more after her 'Martin' became a hit from 1992 to 1997. She also got a chance to be a part of feature movie like ‘Big Momma’s House and she also began a recurring role on another sitcom ‘One on One’ as the ex-wife a lead character played by Mark Washington.
In 2005, Tichina Arnold landed another leading role on ‘Everybody Hates Chris’. The show became a huge hit and Arnold’s performance was highly appreciated by fans as well as a critic. The show became another milestone in Tichina’s career. Similarly, some of her other popular TV shows includes ‘Survivor’s Remorse’, ‘Are We There Yet’, ‘Hit the Floor’, ‘The Boondocks’ and much more.
Personal Life
Tichina Arnold married Lamon Brewster in 1992. Unfortunately, the marital relation could not last longer than 3 years. Then, she was in a relationship with popular music producer Carvin Haggins and Arnold also gave birth to her daughter Alijah Kai Haggins on 16 March 2004.
However, the relation could not last long and she married DaRico Hines, St. Johns Men’s Basketball a s sistant Coach, in Honolulu, Hawaii. In January 2016, they also got divorced after Hines cheated on her.
Tichina Arnold is very close with her family and children but especially her sister Zenay Arnold, who was diagnosed with Lupus and Mixed Connective Tissue Disorder.
Controversy
Tichina Arnold became the media's center of attraction after she leaked the sex tape of her husband with other women. However, Arnold later confessed she never wanted the video to get viral.
