After 28 years of married life, Theresa Caputo and her husband Larry Caputa have called it quit. The couple separated in December 2017.
In a recent interview, Theresa opened up about her life after the separation with husband Larry. She said:
“So right now, Larry is living in L.A. and I’m here in New York, and we’re just taking it day by day,”
The mother of two further explained that she is still working on her own:
“It’s an adjustment, but I’m OK."
Also, in next interview with Good Housekeeping she said:
“We’re in a good place. We’ve taken things day by day and, at the end of the day, we’re okay. [We’re] working and finding our place. [We’re] working and finding our place. We’ve been together for a very long time. And people change. We all change. None of us are the same we were 10 years ago, five years ago, regardless of our work or what we’re doing with our lives. We change, as people.”
The former couple announced their separation officially in last December via a joint statement:
“After 28 years of marriage, we have decided to legally separate. We will always love each other and our two wonderful children. We are united in supporting each other and our family. Please respect our privacy during this time.”
At the time, Larry gave the clue regarding the end of their 28 years of married life:
"We're having a difficult time. I think a lot of the frustration has to do with us not spending the time together anymore,"
He further added:
"Along with that comes the lack of communication so it's like losing your best friend. It's hard. As much as I try to busy myself so I'm not thinking about it, it's still there. I know it's very trying for the both of us. I don't want to make it just about me. I know it's the same for Theresa also."
Previously, Theresa also opened up about their marital issue giving the hint of their separation. In an episode of Long Island Medium in November.
"Things at home have been really stressful lately and Larry and I have hit a bump in our relationship. And unfortunately, the truth is we're considering spending some time apart. So, I've been trying to get my mind off of things by being more adventurous."
She continued:
"It's weird because sometimes it's like living two lives. In my work, I am crazy focused and in my life, my feelings and emotions are all over the place."
After the divorce announcement, the reality star took to Twitter to thank her fans for their support on 5th December 2017.

The couple also tired to work on their married life with the help of therapy and counseling but nothing helped.

Theresa gave birth to their first child together, son Larry Caputo, Jr. in 1993. A year later, their second child, a daughter Victoria Caputo was born.
The couple also starred together in the reality show, Long Island Medium from 2011 to 2017 along with their children. They were together for 28 years and a s sumed to be living a blissful married life until Thresa revealed about their marital issue in an episode of Long Island Medium last November.
