On Saturday, The Los Angeles Lakers’ team announced that LeBron James would miss the final six games of the season to recover of his strained groin.

The Lakers’ president Magic Johnson and general manager Rob Pelinka revealed in a statement that they consulted with their team doctors and medical staff before deciding to hold out LeBron of the games for the remainder of the season.

They also added:

This decision will allow his groin to heal fully and is best for the future success of both LeBron and the Lakers.

James finishes the season with an average point of 27.4, 8.3 a s sists, and 8.5 rebounds in total 55 games. The team has failed to be qualified for the playoffs for a franchise record sixth-straight season.

On Christmas Day, LeBron suffered a slight tear in his left groin which resulted in him to miss seventeen straight games.

During the time of injury, the most significant step of LeBron’s sixteen-year career was 2014 which was good enough for him to hold the fourth best record in the Western Conference.

Earlier this month, while talking with ESPN, LeBron said that he had no plans to cease for the remainder of the season.

This is the least number of games that LeBron has played in any season during his entire career.

LeBron’s physical therapist Dr. Karen Joubert took his Instagram to reveal that the injury could have confined the star for six months and pushed to return to court within six weeks.
