Music Artist Bebe Rexha Reveals Her Diagnosis With Bipolar Disorder: Says "I Am Not Ashamed Anymore"

Singer Bebe Rexha is diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The 29-year-old singer broke her silence about her mental health struggles in a series of emotional tweets to fans on Monday.

Rexha revealed she was recently diagnosed with the disease in the tweet where she wrote: "For the longest time, I didn't understand why I felt so sick." She wrote in another tweet:

Why I felt lows that made me not want to leave my house or be around people and why I felt highs that wouldn't let me sleep, wouldn't let me stop working or creating music. Now I know why.

She further wrote: "I'm bipolar and I'm not ashamed anymore. That is all."

Later on, Rexha posted another tweet where she said she is releasing her new album which will be her most personal musical album by far. She also said the album will be her favorite as she is not "holding anything back."

Rexha made headlines in January 2019 after she took to her social media speaking out against the designers who were unwilling to dress her for the 2019 Grammys because she was "too big." She received support from her fans and fellow celebrities including Demi Lovato. She ultimately hit the red carpet of Grammy on February 10 in a red Monsoori gown.
